Below is a list of our frequently asked questions related to handywoman services. If you don’t find the question or answer you’re looking for, please feel free to contact us.
What areas do you service?
Durham and Orange County.
Are the estimates free?
Yes! Amy will view the project onsite and then email you an estimate for supply and labor costs. Due to fluctuating material costs, estimates are valid for 45 days from the day you receive your estimate.
Do I need to purchase the materials on my own?
You can, but it is not necessary. It can end up costing you more in the long-run if the wrong parts are purchased and it takes more time for us to purchase more materials once we are mid project. We can pick up, deliver and install any materials required for the project.
Do you charge by the hour or the job?
We do NOT charge by the hour. We give an estimate for a complete project. By not charging hourly, we remove the risk of the project taking longer and ultimately costing the customer more than the estimate.
How do I pay for services?
You can pay by check, cash, Visa, or Mastercard
Can I choose the material colors and manufacturers?
Yes! We leave the choices to you! You pick the paint colors or the material color. You can even choose the manufacturer if you desire. You can also leave the selection of the manufacturer to us. We only use high quality manufacturers. Some colors and selections have longer lead times for arrival, so projects are scheduled based on product availability.
Can I trust Quality Home Repairs’ employees in my home?
All of our team members go through a screening process. We make certain all of our team members are prompt, clean, and professional!
Why is it important that a person who is providing service in my home is insured?
If any of our employees is injured during the job they are covered under workers compensation. There will be no need to make a claim on your home owner’s insurance policy.
What are your working hours?
Our hours are 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.
Do you have references for past handywoman work that you’ve done?
Many of our past clients have given us permission to release their contact information in the form of a reference list. This list will be provided to you upon request.
Will your bid be the cheapest for our home project?
We promise to give a fair price, but not necessarily the lowest price. We use quality supplies, pay taxes, maintain liability insurance, and pay livable wages to our employees.
